One-of-a-kind, lavishly luxurious custom designs. Carolina Soma is a fashion designer who takes the originality of her clients' designs very seriously; no one piece is ever made twice, so no customer ever experiences that awkward moment of showing up to an event in the same outfit as someone else. Carolina originally hails from Argentina, but since then she has relocated to Greenville, SC. She designs fashionable clothing for all occasions but specializes in bridal and evening gowns. Carolina loves to design for each of her customers, so each outfit is a one-of-a-kind and made from her own unique patterns. She has been motivated to design and create since age nine, when her mother gave her a sewing machine that once belonged to her great grandmother. Carolina started off by creating little dresses for her Barbie doll. Later, she attended the famous "Roberto Piazza Fashion Design School," a highly prestigious school in Argentina that specializes in the design and production of couture gowns. After graduation she opened a boutique called "Carolina Soma," combining her own first name with the last name of her grandfather, "Soma" meaning "body".
For four years Carolina grew her line and earned a great reputation for quality, craftsmanship, and personal attention. In 2005 love came knocking on her door, and she closed her shop in Argentina and moved to the U.S. with her American husband. However, Carolina did not stop her designing business. Her clothing has been worn by attendees at Mercedes Benz Fashion week in NYC and featured on fashion blogs such as Nordstrom's "From the Floor".
