    Do you have a formal event to attend? Well, look no further! Carolina Soma has beautiful evening wear options ranging from wedding guest attire to gala looks and more. Our evening wear selection also features fabulous cocktail dresses for your next special occasion.

    We create evening gowns for each big event that you may have! This includes prom dresses, quinceañera dresses, and mother of the bride/groom dresses. Of course, these are not all of the occasions that you could. Our formal looks feature different luxurious fabrics like velvet, taffeta, satin, tulle, lace, and so much more. Oh, so you want details? Each of our dresses has its own special details that truly make the dress. Whether you want something as simple as a one-shoulder gown or you want sequins and beading, we have an option for every style. This includes lengths, colors, and sizes. We have all different shapes such as A-line, column, trumpet, and all different necklines.

    When you purchase a Carolina Soma Gown, you are getting quality and excellent construction with impeccable attention to detail. Most of all, we have a unique selection that you will not find anywhere else (and we mean that!) Our clients can never get over how special each of our dresses are - that’s because we create them with YOU in mind.     Evening Wear FAQs:

    • What brands of dresses do you carry?
      • We only have a few dresses that do not come from our own Carolina Soma label. Those dresses are curated by other vendors. However, we do not look for specific brands to carry. Our goal is to eventually have all dresses in the showroom come from our atelier.

     

    • How many dresses do you have?
      • Currently, we have 50+ off-the-rack evening dresses in our showroom. They all vary in size and style as each Carolina Soma dress is one-of-a-kind. 

     

    • What if the dress I like doesn’t come in my size?
      • Our dresses are one-of-a-kind pieces meaning that we only have one dress in that style and size. If you like a dress that is not your size, we provide in-house alterations. If alterations cannot be done due to sizing differences, details, lack of fabric, etc., we can create the same design for you in a similar fabric.

     

    • Do you have designated dresses for specific occasions?
      • We do have some dresses that are made with certain events in mind. However, we encourage you to look at all of our gowns and choose one that suits your style! Just because it isn’t labeled as a prom dress on our website doesn’t mean that you cannot wear it to prom! 

     

    • If I want to purchase an off-the-rack dress, is it sold as-is?
      • When you purchase one of our showroom dresses, you will specifically receive that particular dress since each gown is one-of-a-kind. If you would like to add additional details to your dress (beading, sleeves, change the length, etc.), one of our atelier associates can explain what options are available for the dress. All add-on details will be done to the showroom dress that was purchased for an additional alteration fee. 

     

    • Are alterations included in your pricing?
      • No. We can do in-house alterations to all Carolina Soma dresses, but each alteration will be an additional fee.

     

    • If I order a custom dress, do I have to pay for alterations separately?
      • For all custom garments, we create custom patterns with your measurements. A series of fittings may be required to ensure the perfect fit, but you will not be charged for these alterations during your fittings. The cost is included in your custom garment price. ***Please note that this applies to your original design that is agreed upon during contract signing. If you take your dress home and decide to change something later (length, altering sleeves or other details, etc.), additional alteration fees will apply.

     

    • Do I need an appointment to shop for your dresses?
      • You do not need an appointment to shop any of the dresses in our showroom, except for bridal. **All bridal shopping requires private appointments. If you would like to consult about any custom dress, an appointment will be required. 

     

    • What if I am running late for my appointment?
      • Please call us if you are running late for your appointment or if you need to reschedule. Most days, we have multiple appointments throughout the day. Therefore, if you show up outside of your appointment slot, it puts other appointments behind. We are also working on other projects when we are not with clients, so each hour is accounted for. Thank you for being courteous and arriving when scheduled!
